Urban embellishment and reconciling buildings with their environments

In some territories, the uniformity of the urban landscape drives its users to stand aloof and even reject the buildings that compose it. This leads to problems of attractiveness, image, urban dialogue and rental management. Recreating a collective history and finding new spaces for urban embellishment are becoming decisive factors. The challenge of this urban narration is therefore crucial for improving and preserving the living environment and its power of attraction.

In the framework of our monumental mural design projects, we design and produce lasting pictural works of the highest quality: individual murals, mural painting circuits, mural designs and trompe-l’oeil. Thus we contribute to improving the image of cities and enterprises by taking a responsible and sustainable approach. The inhabitants of the districts treated rediscover the pride and satisfaction of living in an enhanced environment.

By creating new cultural instruments in towns and cities, our projects aim to consolidate social cohesion and enhance attractiveness in all its forms: buildings, the economy and tourism.

By getting elected representatives to support these projects, we take care to ensure good coordination between the goals of each actor: the municipality, the enterprise, and the promotor. We positon ourselves alongside the contracting owner in perfect coordination with the urban authorities and the options taken by the architect.

“I hail the talent and commitment of the whole CitéCréation team, originally founded as a cooperative. They have remained faithful to this form of company status that places social equity to the fore, a status born on the slopes of the Croix-Rousse. They are precious actors in the embellishment of our city of which they are also great ambassadors”.

Gérard Collomb Minister of the Interior, former Senator-Mayor of Lyon – former President of Greater Lyon. With more than a million tourists every year, since 1993 the “Lyonnais” mural has become one of the most visited places in Lyon. Admired by all, it has become one of the city’s landmarks and an assertion of its identity.

From wall to wall, they display their talent, retracing memories near and far for posterity. In the space of the image they evoke for passers-by moments of history and intimacy are held suspended in time! Bravo to CitéCréation for knowing how to use such lustrous colours.

When I discovered the circuit of painted murals in Lyon, I was very impressed by the fact that these frescos, apart from their beauty, were wonderful cultural tools for social reconnection in themselves. I also encouraged the transfer of knowhow to Québec, along with training.

The success of this operation has shown how sensitive the neighbouring population is to the aesthetics of the site. In addition to the punctual image changing operation, we henceforth have the reflex of incorporating the aesthetic component in all our projects.

"La peinture murale joue comme un reflet dans les yeux des personnes qui s’arrêtent et la regardent… elle offre un voyage dans le passé et surtout dans le futur, à la découverte des visions et des espoirs des habitants de la ville".

Avec un travail soigné, professionnel, et enthousiaste, vous avez permis la victoire de l’imagination sur la médiocrité, du plaisir sur le désenchantement, de la coopération sur l’individualisme. Votre peinture, c’est le triomphe du Barcelone que l’on ressent et que l’on aime.
