The mural of the First RIMa is finally unveiled in Angoulême…
The comic strip is Angoulême’s locomotive… and the painted walls have been the subject of a tourist trail for over 20 years, consisting of some thirty murals created by the muralist painters of CitéCréation.
At present, the First RIMa (Marine Infantry Regiment) can be proud and present the latest mural work created to its glory with the participation and assistance of the City of Angoulême and the muralist painters of CitéCréation.
The 1st Marine Infantry Regiment (1st RIMa) of Angoulême is perfectly integrated into the city of Angoulême and has a long history with the Cité des Valois.
Did you know that?
The oldest regiment of the Troupes de Marine, the 1st RIMa was founded by royal decree in 1822 and is the direct heir to the ordinary companies of the Richelieu Sea. The Premier de Marine is particularly proud of this prestigious past, but also of its experience accumulated over two centuries on all continents.
