CitéCréation celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2018. The cooperative enterprise has designed and created more than 750 murals in the hearts of cities, in businesses or in social housing districts.

On the occasion of the Avignon Festival which honours the theatre every year during the month of July. CitéCréation opens a new album dedicated to the Fresque des Charpennes. This mural fresco, with its identity, is based on the history of the city. The trompe-l’oeil of Italian-style theatre allows a complex historical reality to be staged, evoking the misery of the workers who came from Italy in the 18th century, and that of living conditions in the 19th century, against the backdrop of the Grande Rue des Charpennes. The horse-drawn omnibus connects Lyon to Villeurbanne through time and space, and the hospital was built on land donated in 1928 by Désir de Fortunet to the Hospices Civils: the sine qua non condition was to build buildings at moderate rents…
