CitéCréation celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2018. The cooperative enterprise has designed and created more than 750 murals in the hearts of cities, in businesses or in social housing districts.

We open the photo album to present you each week a mural, a monumental wall design or a fresco for social housing.

Lyon, land of humanism and land of beautiful letters…

At the bottom of the fresco, where painting and writing meet, one can hear the surprised murmurs of hundreds of authors from Lyons and the Rhône-Alpes area: here the books talk.

From Louise Labé’s tears to Voltaire’s outcry, from the Little Prince’s goodbye to Guignol’s “lyonnaiseries”, from Monsieur de Lyon to The Gone de Chaaba and to the creator of San Antonio, from poetry to detective books, from theatre to prize winning books, they all stand here, nearly 500 literary references) at a window or on theshelves of the mock bookseller.

The painted wall (which allows for updatings and additions) is a literary news showcase. Meanwhile, on the quay across the street, the second-hand booksellers speak in praise of the books in the open air…
