Monumental mural design of Valibout, town of Plaisir: inauguration of the first lot
We have just inaugurated the first lot of the monumental mural design (3 works) at the heart of the town centre of Plaisir, Greater Paris. More
than 100 residents came to proudly welcome these first three works set in the heart of, and entrance to, the district of which the second lot has
been refurbished. The Mayor, the President of Résidences Yvelines Essonne, Mr. Arnaud Legros, President of the Yvelines Department, Mr. Pierre
Bédier, President of the Conurbation, Mr. Michel Laugier) and a representative of JC Decaux were all present. A fine event for a project scheduled
to continue until 2020.
Contracting owner: Les Résidences Yvelines Essonne/ Ville de Plaisir.
Project manager: AB Architectes / Bateg.
More than 200 residents of the district and neighbours participated in the creative workshops, leading to the unifying concept of the monumental
mural design: “weaving”. The aim was to improve the living environment and embellish the town’s heritage, with the first three monumental
murals based on this concept coming to life in 2017. Perfectly integrated on the buildings and in the greenery of the site, they spur a new dialogue
between the structures and their environment and have already become the pride of their inhabitants.
