The mural on the Allard Museum in Montbrison will be inaugurated on 14 September 2018

The town of Montbrison is one of the most dynamic and attractive small towns in the Forez area.

Aware of this strength, Christophe Bazile, Mayor of Montbrison, decided to capitalize on the historical attractiveness of his city by commissioning CitéCréation to design and produce a mural on the back of the Musée d’Allard, a former private mansion, which today offers collections on nature, art and childhood, in particular with toys from the Gégé company.

The very first collections were constituted from the cabinet of curiosities of Jean-Baptiste d’Allard, rich Montbrisonnais, in the first half of the 19th century.

The images painted on this mural represent the museum’s collections. The muralists of CitéCréation have chosen to paint pastel colours, light so that they are not too conspicuous, in order to respect the architecture of the building.

This first mural in Montbrison will be inaugurated on Friday 13 September as part of the European Heritage Days…
