The point of departure
A vacancy rate close to 20%, disconnection between the estate and the town centre and a negative image. How can the clichés of social-housing, still strong in rural environments, be broken?
CitéCréation provided a singular and original answer for the external aesthetics to change the image of the estate and endow the town with a new facility offering cultural attraction promoted by the residents of the buildings themselves.
CitéCréation incorporated a “digital” component in the consultation phase of the creative workshops by making use of Facebook and Instagram.
This made it possible to reach out to populations rarely present during the consultation sessions (people at work, young adults, etc.).
Action / result
This project provided the town with a new object of cultural and touristic interest to restore pride to its tenants and reinforce the attractiveness of a disadvantaged territory.
The consultation phase gathered more than 450 people via the creative workshops and social networks, stirring the pride of the inhabitants.
Hardly had the first lot of the works been finished and the living environment embellished, than it was already possible to see an improvement in rental management indicators, a reduction in the number of complaints in the district, and a higher number of visits by the inhabitants, the neighbouring population and tourists! The consultation phase gathered more than 450 people via the creative workshops and social networks, stirring the pride of the inhabitants.
